Summit 11- Inch 2- Burner Built- In Induction Cooktop - Black - SINC2220. SINC2220. Electric Cooktops. With innovative design and superior construction, Summit products are finely crafted inside and out. This dual burner cooktop features Schott Ceran black glass for durability and easy cleaning with a damp cloth. This burner uses electromagnetic heat generated by your pot or pan to cook in half the time with half of the energy of traditional ranges. Eight variable touch controls make heating precise and easy, and the LED display lets you keep track of the setting. The temperature does not get as hot as traditional gas or electric elements, and there are no open flames or released gas. This unit is designed for safety, featuring a child lock, automatic safety switch off and a residual heat indicator. The beveled edges blend seamlessly into the interior. This unit comes with a complimentary 7- piece set of Summit Induction Cookware. This collection includes three pots with heat resistant glass lids and one 9 1/2 inch skillet. This cookware is constructed with a triple layer bottom, with an aluminum core layered between stainless steel to provide even heat distribution. These items are safe for use on induction, electric, and gas surfaces, as well as being dishwasher and oven safe. Because induction cooking requires magnetic energy, your cookware must be made of cast iron, steel, or magnetic stainless steel. Materials that will not work include aluminum, copper, and non- magnetic stainless steel. Many of your current pots and pans may already be induction- friendly. In order to determine if your cookware will work on an induction surface, simply place a magnet on the bottom of the pan. If the magnet sticks, the pan will work.
